So I haven't blogged anything new in several weeks.
The reason is because I have been facing some things that I just don't know how to handle. I cannot even blog about what is happening at this time, because it would hurt other people who are involved.
So all I can do is cry out to God and say, "I don't know what to do! I don't know what to ask for! So you just take it! Please just take this mess...take it and do what you are best at doing, God....take it and bring it into something that is within your will....something that is for good."
That's pretty much all I've been able to pray at least the past three weeks. My prayer life has basically been a broken record....cry out...rewind...repeat again later. One day, I cried out, "Why are you allowing this attack from the enemy? Why didn't you answer my prayers from over the summer in the way I asked? Can I at least know why and where this is going? Can you at least give me a little "peek" into what good might possibly be coming from this?"
Then I felt God's word enter into my heart. And I felt His truth press into me with this truth:
"This is preparation....for what I am bringing soon....
which will be much better. "
And I realized this:
God often knows that we have to experience negative things;
In order to prepare us to accept the more positive things
He is going to bring us in the near future.
And I can't explain it any more or better than that. However, a few quotes from Scripture and from other Christian leaders are also helping me through this time:
And the God of all grace.....after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast. - 1 Peter 5:10
There is no way to know who you really are until you have been tested. - Timothy Keller
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth...do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." - Isaiah 43:19
Sometimes when you are in a dark place, you think that you've been buried, but you've actually been planted." - Christine Caine
...Wait for the Lord, and He will deliver you. - Proverbs 20:22
