Worry About Nothing. Pray About Everything. Cast All Your Cares to Him….Wait? How? |Overcoming Worry and Learning to Pray | Faith-based Stress and Anxiety Management

Worry About Nothing. Pray About Everything. Cast All Your Cares to Him….Wait? How?  Is this just a platitude from the writings of Paul, or is this something we are to actually strive to do?  My answer to that second question is yes – we really do need to cast our cares to Him, just as (the verse says) because He loves us.  Today I am going to share in a little bit of a  different way, I have a video that I premiered last week on the youtube – on my Gospel Life | Faith and Soul Care channel. It’s a 20 minute talks, and in it, I give an overview of an upcoming opportunity to join an online Free learning cohort for women. I also tell you about how the ministry will be exapanding in early 2026, and finally, if you hold on to the end – you will learn a very practical strategy that you can start using today – to help settle your day’s worries and cast them, truly cast them, to the Lord. So in just a minute, the recording will start.

Give Your Anxieties to God: A 21-Day Online Cohort Experience for Women

Introduction

Hello everyone! Today is October 15, 2025. I wanted to record this message a little early because I may not be able to go live tonight as originally planned. My name is Sherry Peavey, though I go by Sherry Elaine online. I want to tell you about the free Faith & Soul Care Foundations Cohort, my fourth cohort, which will begin on October 27th.

Even though it’s free, it’s a truly meaningful and life-changing program. Many people sign up thinking it will be like other “freebies,” where you get a teaser but have to pay for the real content—but that’s not what this is. I walk you through a full 21-day process to help you actually learn how to give your anxieties to God.

Scripture tells us to “give all your worries to God” and “pray about everything”, but how do we do that in a way that truly works? That’s what this experience is all about.

What to Expect in the 21-Day Process

Once you sign up, you’ll start receiving daily emails beginning October 27th. Each day focuses on one small, practical step to help you release anxiety and find peace in the Lord.

If you’d like, there’s also an optional donor upgrade that includes bonus printable journal pages, a daily habits tracker, and extra small group sessions. But the core program and all daily lessons are completely free.

Week One: Releasing Physical Tension and Stress

In Week One, our focus is on releasing the tension and stress stored in our bodies. By midlife—especially in our 40s and 50s—many of us are holding years of built-up stress in our muscles. This tension contributes to fatigue, chronic anxiety, and even pain.

Each day, you’ll receive a guided practice to help your body and mind release that stress. One of our main tools is progressive muscle relaxation, which has been scientifically shown to reduce inflammation, cortisol, anxiety, depression, and even blood pressure.

Many people who practice this for just 10–14 days report that their energy levels return—they feel 10 or 20 years younger. It’s a beautiful secondary benefit to the mental and emotional peace it brings.

In addition to muscle relaxation, we’ll practice Yahweh breathing—deep, mindful breathing while focusing our thoughts on the Lord—and a few other somatic exercises to help release decades of stored stress.

Week Two: Prayer, Journaling, and Decluttering the Mind

During Week Two, we dive into effective and restorative prayer practices. You’ll learn a four-step prayer method, a journaling prayer method, how to practice the presence of Jesus, and even how to pray silently while allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede for you.

We also begin a mind-decluttering strategy—learning how to get anxious or negative thoughts out of your head in just 5–10 minutes. These techniques help not only with anxiety but also with disappointment, self-criticism, and rumination.

Through reflection questions, we learn to ask, “Is this thought true?” If it’s not, we reframe it in God’s truth. If it is true, we process it using techniques based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to find peace and perspective.

This combination of prayer, reflection, and thought renewal is the heart of the program.

What Comes Next: January’s Life Points Processing Cohort

This foundations cohort is the prerequisite for my next program beginning in January 2026. Registration will open right after Thanksgiving.

The January program, called Life Points Processing, will include weekly small group Zoom sessions and will be an affordable paid experience—around $50 or less per month. We’ll spend three months identifying the flash points and freeze points in your life story: moments that shaped your beliefs, emotions, and thought patterns.

We’ll explore what strengths you developed through those experiences and what “scripts” or “schemas” you may have internalized. These discoveries help you gain freedom, clarity, and purpose as you recognize how God has been present in every part of your story—and how He is still guiding you today.

A Practical Visualization to Start Casting Your Cares Today

Before the cohort begins, I want to share a very practical strategy you can start using right now to give your anxiety to God.

In the morning, as you think about the stresses ahead, use a visualization technique to transfer your worries into God’s care.

Imagine all of your worries as large, heavy rocks inside a sack. Think of each rock representing something specific—a stressful meeting, a looming deadline, a difficult conversation, a loved one’s health, or concern for your children’s safety. Picture yourself holding that heavy bag. Feel its weight.

Then, take a deep breath and cast it toward Jesus, who stands before you smiling. Imagine Him catching it and saying, “Thank you for giving this to Me. Thank you for obeying Me and letting Me carry your worries.”

You can also use a balloon visualization if that resonates more with you: write each worry on a helium balloon, then imagine releasing them into the sky, entrusting them to God and His angels to handle.

Both are powerful tools that help train your mind and heart to truly cast your cares on Him.
