A Prayer of Thankfulness for God's Word

Can you imagine what the world would be like, what our very lives would be like, if we did not have God's word, the Bible?  As we head into Thanksgiving week, let's not forget to be thankful for things we may take for granted in the Christian walk - things such as the very word of God that has been preserved for us through thousands and thousands of years.

A Prayer of Thankfulness for God's Word:

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for your word that is available to me every single day of the year. It encourages me and lifts up my soul. When I become distracted or lose focus on what matters most, your word calms me and points me back to you. Your word speaks into my circumstances. It is a weapon against the schemes of the enemy. It encourages me and strengthens me. When I need wisdom or direction, your word provides it to me. I ask you to give me an even greater desire for your word. I pray and ask you to draw me even closer to you through your word. I thank you that no matter what is happening in my life, your word is always able to provide me with hope, truth, wisdom, guidance, and renewal.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
